How to Raise a Complaint

We want every homeowner who reaches Votejournalist Plumbing to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, tell us. This page shows how to complain and what happens next. It is a general template, not legal advice.

• The conduct of a plumber we connected you with

If the Problem Is a Provider

Plumbers in our network are independent businesses. Each one is responsible for its own estimates, pricing, work and customer service. If you are unhappy with work in your home, the usual first step is to raise it with the plumber directly and keep a written record.

Please still tell us. Feedback about providers helps keep our network honest, and providers who repeatedly fall short of our expectations may be removed from it. Note that Votejournalist Plumbing cannot settle contract disputes, issue refunds for a provider's work, or decide anything on a provider's behalf.

Sending Your Complaint

Email contact@votejournalist.garden and include:

• Your name and how to reach you
• The date you contacted us or the plumber
• The phone number you called or the form you used, if you remember
• The provider's name, if you know it
• A clear account of what happened and the outcome you want

After You Write

We will confirm receipt by email, usually within a few business days. We will then look into what happened, which may include contacting the provider. Afterward we will reply with our findings and any steps we are taking.

Still Unhappy?

If our reply does not satisfy you, answer it and ask us to review again. You may also contact your state's consumer protection office or attorney general, or your local Better Business Bureau. For concerns about plumbing work itself, a state or local plumbing licensing board may be able to help.
